As Valentine’s Day rounds the corner, the yearly question of where to dine dips into the conversations between loved ones across the state of Utah. With Ogden cuisine offering loved ones many places to dine in, here are some options to choose from:
Sonora Grill
If steak fits your fancy, Sonora Grill, a locally-owned Mexican-style restaurant, may be the right place for your special night. Sonora Grill will feature a Valentine’s menu. Although the full menu is still in the works, this year’s Valentine’s menu is said to include an option of two different entrées and specialty drinks. Customers can also try the dessert for this year’s Valentine’s weekend: Chilli chocolate mousse. Sonora Grill also offers vegan and gluten-free options and uses ingredients grown from local companies such as Ogden Produce Company and Misfit Mushrooms.
The Pie
A box full of chocolates isn’t the only heart-shaped item you can enjoy to celebrate your special night. At The Pie Pizzeria, off Harrison Boulevard, you can surprise your loved one with a heart-shaped pizza. Choose to have your pizza delivered or enjoy your night soaking in the aroma of freshly baked dough and melted cheese by dining in.
The Union Grill
If deciding on dinner is always a debate, The Union Grill could be the perfect solution. The Union Grill, on 24th Street, offers a diverse menu ranging from sandwiches to pasta to specialty pizzas. Valentine’s Day specials will feature a couple of add-ons to the menu. Some of this year’s additions include shrimp scampi with steak, chicken marsala or chicken strawberry salad. Pair a specialty cocktail or slice of red velvet cake to your entrée to complement your meal.
The Mercantile
Sometimes, all you need is a special beverage. The Mercantile will be selling a variety of Valentine’s Day-themed beverages: Raspberry Kiss Right Mocha, The Secret Admirer and Cherry Vanilla Italian Soda. The Mercantile can be found on 25th Street and Grant Ave.
The Hearth
Known for its live-fire cooking and chef-driven menu, The Hearth on 25th Street ignites romance by hopping on Valentine’s Day specials. Surprise your partner with a 10-course meal starting at $80 per person. The menu for this year’s weekend special includes eight courses of gourmet-style dishes leading up to the entrée.
