As the fall semester comes to a close, Weber State University is set to hold commencement and convocation ceremonies. Graduates will need to begin preparing for their graduation ceremonies if they applied by Oct. 24.
Those who are attending the ceremonies will be able to pick up their cap and gown, honor cords and more during the Grad Finale on Nov. 18 any time between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Grad Finale will be held in the Dee Events Center and students are not required to bring their wildcat card but are required to check in at the door. Graduates who aren’t able to make it to Grad Finale can have their cap and gown sent to them through the mail for a shipping cost.
The convocation ceremonies that students can attend are dependent on the students’ college they are graduating from. All of the events will be held on Dec. 12, but time and locations vary.
At the Val A. Browning Center of Performing Arts in the Austad Auditorium will be the College of Science at 9 a.m., John B. Goddard School of Business & Economics at 11:30 a.m., Telitha E. Lindquist College of Arts & Humanities at 2 p.m and General studies at 4:30 p.m.
The convocation ceremonies that take place at the Dee Events Center are College of Social Sciences & Education at 9 a.m., College of Engineering, Applied Science & Technology at 11:30 p.m. and Dr. Ezekiel R. Dumke College of Health Professions at 3 p.m.
The Reserves Officers’ Training Corps will be in the Shepherd Union Building in the Wildcat Theatre at 9 a.m. and the Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies will be in Stewart Library in the Hetzel Herllein Room at 1:30 p.m.
Graduates will not receive their diplomas at their specified times but will receive them through the mail in the following weeks.
With the time approaching, students are asked to keep this information available to them as they begin the final steps towards the completion of their degrees and potential time at Weber State.
