SLC Twilight Concert Series Ramps
With the conclusion of the Ogden Twilight Concert Series, concertgoers can continue the summer fun with the SLC Twilight Concert Series. The series will run on Thursday nights starting July 20.
The lineup for this year includes:

· July 27: Kurt Vile & The Violators and Whitney
· August 3: Kamasi Washington and Antibalas
· August 10: Solange and Kaytranada
· August 17: Cat Power with a special guest TBA

Fundamentals of Glassblowing with Mike Hurst
Fundamentals of Glassblowing at the Local Artisan Collective is taught by Mike Hurst on Tuesdays from 6–9 p.m. The class is $40 per hour or $100 for 3 hours. This can be a single night class or can be signed up for as your schedule permits.
Using a propane-and-oxygen-fueled torch and various steel and graphite tools, students will have the opportunity to learn how to safely manipulate borosilicate (Pyrex) glass reaching temperatures of 2400 degrees Fahrenheit. They can sculpt these into their choice of items, including marbles, pendants, Christmas ornaments, assorted animals and more, as time permits.
All materials will be provided. A maximum of three people are allowed per hour block. Other times available are by appointment only. Contact Mike Hurst at [email protected] to schedule.
Drake White July 14 Ogden Amphitheater
Drake White, with special guests Runaway June and The Wayne Hoskins band, will perform starting at 7 p.m. July 14 at the Ogden Amphitheater in downtown Ogden.
Early bird tickets are $15 for general admission and $25 for VIP seats. They can be purchased online at Eventbrite or by calling 801-621-6595. Tickets are $20 and $30 respectively on the day of the concert.
All proceeds from the concert benefit EnableUtah, a volunteer-led nonprofit organization in Northern Utah that provides employment opportunities and other assistance to individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities.
This is the 23rd year EnableUtah has organized the benefit concert.
Tube the Ogden July 14–15
WSU’s Outdoor Program and Gear 30 continue to host the Ogden Tube Cooperative, “Tube the Ogden,” Fridays and Saturdays from noon–6 p.m at Ogden’s Pioneer Stadium West Parking Lot. The price is $5 for one run or $10 for day pass.
Snowbasin’s Blue’s Brew’s & BBQ July 16
Snowbasin will host the Blues, Brews & BBQ Concert Series on July 16 with Main Squeeze, King Cardinal and Gleewood.
Every Sunday in the summer from noon–5:30 p.m., the public is invited to a free concert on the lawn outside Earl’s Lodge. The lineup for the July 16 is as follows:
12:15 pm: Gleewood
2:15 pm: King Cardinal
4:15 pm: Main Squeeze.
Lindquist Pops Fireworks July 16
Now in its 39th year, Lindquist Pops Fireworks, initiated and sponsored by the Lindquist family of Ogden, is a longstanding tradition for northern Utah families.
The New American Philharmonic will provide a free 60-minute concert beginning at 9 p.m. at the Ada Lindquist Plaza. The performance will include a movie and patriotic music, featuring Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture,” complete with a battery of 17 cannons.
At approximately 10 p.m., attendees will enjoy one of the largest fireworks displays in Utah, accompanied by the symphony.
To minimize damage to the grounds, no blankets, chairs or saving space will be permitted before 6 p.m., July 15. Items placed on the lawn prior to that time will be removed.
Tarps, stakes or tent pegs are not allowed and will be removed due to safety concerns.
No personal fireworks or pets of any kind will be allowed on campus. Spectators are asked to clean up their areas and drive with courtesy and caution following the event.
