5. Women’s basketball breaks record, breaks streak
In their first win since Dec. 10, 2011, the women’s basketball team shattered the school record for largest margin of victory as they defeated Walla Walla University in a 107-25 blowout.
Not only did the 82 point win break the 31-year-old record, but it also snapped a record-setting 48 game losing streak that had shattered the previous school record losing streak of 12 games.
The win seems to have signaled a turnaround for the program, as not only did they record their most wins in a season since the 2010-11, they also recorded their most single digit losses in that same time span.

4. Berry ends career with MVP award
Davion Berry was named the Big Sky Conference MVP after the regular season ended. This was the fifth time in the last eight years a Wildcat has won the award.
In his final year with the Wildcats, Berry led the team in scoring in 19 of the team’s 31 games, and recorded at least 20 points in 18 games. Berry’s MVP award capped off his two-year career at Weber State University, a career that saw him finish 19th all-time in school history with 1102 career points.

3. Men’s tennis plays perfect in conference games
The 2014 season was a major step in the right direction for the Wildcats men’s tennis team, as they finished conference play undefeated.
In the team’s first winning season since 2008, the Wildcats went 10-0 against Big Sky opponents and won the regular season title for the first time in program history.
While the team fell short of winning the title, next season looks good for them as most of their current squad will be returning.

2. Soccer grabs fourth Big Sky title in program history
Weber State University’s first Big Sky Conference Title of the year came from the women’s soccer team when they defeated Portland State University for the program’s first title in eight years.
After winning their fourth title in team history, the Wildcats advanced to the NCAA tournament to face in-state rival BYU, where they lost 4-0.
Despite losing five seniors after this season, the team has a solid young core, and should be contenders for the title again in 2014.

1. Men’s basketball dominates on way to Big Sky Title
In a season where the Wildcats had the Conference MVP (Davion Berry), Coach of the Year (Randy Rahe), Freshman of the Year (Jeremy Senglin), and Defensive Player of the Year (Joel Bolomboy), it was only fitting that the team would capture the conference title for the 15th time in school history.
The win in the championships sent Weber State to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2007.
Although the Wildcats eventually lost to No. 1 Arizona in the first round, they were able to keep the score close throughout the game, as they were the only 16 seed in the tournament to lose by single digits.
