The Weber State University athletics department unveiled a new Wildcat logo on Friday afternoon.
The updated logo features a snarling wildcat head, with Weber State written below. It will be the new primary logo for the school’s athletics teams.
Athletics Director Jerry Bovee said the school plans to start using the new logo immediately online, and on uniforms that were planned to be replaced this season. The school will continue to transition to the new logo as facility upgrades are made.
Students and fans will soon be able to buy apparel with the new logo in the WSU Bookstore, and other stores that carry WSU merchandise.
WSU also plans to release secondary logos later on Friday.
