Weber State University raised over $125 million as a part of their Dream 125 campaign.
The campaign was launched in January 2014 on Weber State’s 125th anniversary, with the goal of raising money for scholarships for students, training for faculty and staff and an overall enhancement to buildings around campus.
On April 13, Weber State has invited the community to help them celebrate the success of this campaign. Many of the donors were people from the local community.
The celebration will be combined with the WSUSA annual club carnival. There will be over 220 clubs and organizations from Weber State in attendance to share information about their organizations.
The carnival will include many attractions such as a creature encounters exhibit, aerialists and stilt walkers. There will also be prizes given away.
The event will start at 10 a.m. and will be held at the Shepherd Union and outside around the Stewart Bell Tower Plaza. Activities will conclude between 1 and 1:25 p.m. with a blast from a confetti cannon.
President Wight will address the crowd and announce the total that the campaign has raised so far. The campaign officially ends on June 30.
