I am running for student senate simply because I want to make a difference. Weber State University’s Bachelor of Integrated Studies program has given my life direction and potential. Until I was introduced to the possibilities of integrated studies, a continued education seemed unlikely. I tried some time at school in Iowa, but I just couldn’t stay away; I transferred back to Weber as soon as I could. My hope is that my candidacy will result in an opportunity for me to help others benefit from this program and represent those students’ unique concerns. My commitment to education and excellence is evident in my membership of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. I expect to be the best option for this senate position because as part of my BIS program, I attend the Applied Technology College in Davis County. This allows me to have a different perspective and represent well those students attending school in various places while sharing one goal: to graduate, a successful Wildcat.
