Senior James Hajek has been a part of the Weber State University men’s basketball for five seasons, making him the third longest tenured Wildcat in the program behind head coach Randy Rahe and associate head coach Eric Duft.
Last week, Hajek took to the court for Weber State one last time in the Wildcats’ quarterfinal match against University of Montana at the Big Sky Conference championships.
In the Wildcats’ loss, Hajek shot 1-4 from the field—finishing with two points—while pulling down five rebounds. Hajek’s five rebounds against Montana was his sixth consecutive game with five or more rebounds.

Hajek finished the season third on the team with 126 rebounds—averaging just over four per game—and was tied for second on the team with 24 blocks. Hajek also finished tied for 12th place in the Big Sky Conference averaging 0.8 blocks per game.
In his final season with the Wildcats, Hajek was able to overcome injuries that had limited him in the past as he posted career highs in every statistical category. He ends his career with 233 rebounds, 238 points and 45 blocks.
