Crack down on homework while enjoying the view

There are many places across the Weber State University campus that are perfect for studying. Incoming and even current students may not know of these areas due to the pandemic restrictions.

The Stewart Wasatch Hall, one of the dormitories, has a whole study level complete with private study rooms on the third floor. According to students who frequent this spot, it is never crowded. The private study rooms are reservable, so you can always have a spot when you need it.

The fireplace lounge in the Shepherd Union is also a student favorite, especially during the winter time. There are a plethora of chairs and tables to sit at and a fireplace to relax and finish big assignments by while staying warm.

Another study area is the top floor of Lindquist Hall. It’s a spacious study area with a favored view of the pond and its feathered inhabitants in front of the university. Tracy Hall also has one located on the third floor that contains booths to study in, minus the view.

The Stewart Library is a very common place for students to work on their academic skills. Students can reserve study spots and computer space within the building. There are also benches outside near the library in a small grove of trees. It’s a perfect spot to study in when the weather is nice and if you enjoy the outdoors.

The Union Patio outside of the Shepherd Union is another common area where students are able to work on classwork and eat from The Den simultaneously. There is also a fire pit for students to warm up next to in colder times. Students can even choose to study inside The Den during serving hours.

An additional studying spot is located in the Student Involvement and Leadership room on the third floor of the Shepherd Union. It has an air hockey table, and the student ambassadors are always up there to talk to.

There are many areas that can be utilized for studying, researching or any time if you need to crack down on assignments. A walk around campus and its open buildings never hurts to further knowledge of these spaces.
