The Weber State University women’s volleyball team hosted Westminster on March 25, at the Swenson Gym for their first scrimmage of the spring season.
The Wildcats will use these spring games to prepare themselves for the upcoming 2017–18 season.
Weber State finished their 2016–17 season with a Big Sky Conference record of 5–11 and a regular season regular of 14–13.
The Wildcats improved in conference wins from the previous season, only defeating the University of Montana and Montana State University to earn themselves two conference wins out of 16 games in the 2015–16 season.
After the conclusion of the fall season, the women’s volleyball team had six players named to Academic All-Conference teams.
Junior Taylor Christensen, sophomore Andrea Hale, junior Jesse Hover, sophomore Bailey Irwin, freshman Rylin Roberts and senior Megan Thompson were honored for participating in at least half of the season’s competitions, earning a 3.2 cumulative grade point average, and completing an academic term at Weber State.
