Family Promise of Ogden, a nonprofit organization, has recently moved from North Ogden to Harrisville. The move comes with a lot of benefits as this now allows both the office and the shelter to be at the same location. The new location is at 324 E 1100 N Harrisville and is the first time in 10 years that there is only one location to look for.
Family Promise of Ogden is an organization that began in 2015 in downtown Ogden and focuses on assisting families with finding jobs and stable shelter for them to stay in. “Family Promise of Ogden is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping homeless families achieve and sustain independence. Through community partnerships, education and support services, FPO provides families with shelter, resources, and long-term guidance to ensure lasting stability,” the press release from FPO states.
The move happened in January and was mostly performed by employees and volunteers of the center in North Ogden. In October 2025, there was an open house for the new building that people could tour and were allowed to see where the new location was and how it looked on the inside.
“‘North Ogden City employees moved us out of the Building – We could not have maintained our program without that building! They all showed up to help and say goodbye,’” the press release states.
Now in this new building and location, Family Promise of Ogden will be able to help those in the community in one place with all their needs concerning shelter and finding a place to work. Those who are in need are always welcome and those who wish to volunteer are asked to contact the center.
