Weber State University was well-represented at the 2025 “NBA 2K26”-sponsored Summer League in Las Vegas.
On June 28, Dillon Jones, fresh off winning an NBA championship with the Oklahoma City Thunder, was traded to the Washington Wizards, and Blaise Threatt signed with the Milwaukee Bucks’ summer league team.
Threatt, coming off of an ankle injury he suffered earlier in the summer, did not see any playing time for Milwaukee, but was seen on the bench cheering on his teammates.
Jones, meanwhile, saw some playing time with the Wizards. In their first game against the Phoenix Suns on July 11, Jones played nine minutes. He went 0–2 shooting with one rebound and two fouls.
In the Wizards’ second game against the Brooklyn Nets on July 13, Jones didn’t play due to a coach’s decision. In the third game against the Philadelphia 76ers on July 15, Jones started for the Wizards, playing 20 minutes, going 2–2 from the field, 1–1 from three with 5 points, four rebounds, one assist and two fouls.
In the fourth game against the Utah Jazz on July 16, Jones played 19 minutes, going 4–12 from the field and 0–6 from three. He finished with 12 points, one rebound and one foul.
In the Wizards’ final game against the New York Knicks on July 19, Jones played his best game of the summer, playing all 36 minutes, going 8–13 from the field and 2–3 from three. He finished with 25 points, 11 rebounds and three assists, leading both teams in scoring.
Jones finished the summer league averaging 10.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game.
