Post-hardcore
A staple of Record Store Day, mewithoutYou always seems to deliver something special. This year, the Philadelphia rock mainstay has two offerings. The first is a special edition pressing of 1000 copies of the bands 2012 LP, “Ten Stories.” This version features reimagined packaging and is pressed to red, yellow and orange splatter clear vinyl. The second is a 7-inch split with fellow Philadelphia post-hardcore act Circa Survive. Notorious B.I.G.
Rap
Puff Daddy, Mase and Notorious B.I.G. had a No. 1 hit in the 90s with “Mo Money, Mo Problems.” After the death of Notorious B.I.G., the remaining bad boys of gangsta rap paid homage to the late rapper in the song’s music video. This piece of hip hop history is coming to Record Store Day. Pressing to 5000 copies on green vinyl, the 12-inch maxi-single will feature remixed versions of the acclaimed hit song.
Dead Can Dance

“Anabasis” is the most recent LP from mysterious London outfit Dead Can Dance. A fusion of worldbeat, gothic and dark wave, Dead Can Dance provides a perfect soundtrack for your studies. Back in print for the first time since 2012, “Anabasis” will see a 1500 pressing, double LP release for Record Store Day.
