Idaho actually isn't boring

When people think of Idaho, they think potatoes, Napoleon Dynamite and the word boring. The truth is that there are many fun adventures to be had in the Gem State. I recently explored some unique destinations with my grandmother, and I have to say, my opinion about the state has changed.

My adventure began in Burley, Idaho. A two-hour drive to the south end of the state didn’t provide much to look at, but upon arrival, I found that there were some unique features to the small area.

A small diner called the Wayside Café sits off the exit to Burley. Located right next to my grandma’s house, it’s a quaint little place with amazing food. The day I ate at the Wayside just happened to be a taco-themed dish day. Macho Nachos, taco soup and other taco themed dishes were on the menu.

Along the Snake River sits a park that allows guests to dive right in the water from the grass. Because the water is very deep, life jackets are kept out for swimmers to use.

An amazing tourist attraction for visitors is Shoshone Falls, located in Twin Falls. The park has a view of the gorgeous falls that lets visitors have a wonderful taste of nature.

The coolest sight of all on this trip was the Perrine Memorial Bridge in the county of Jerome. The bridge stretches over a large valley and is truly a sight to see. Next to the Magic Valley Mall, guests can behold this wonder of nature while getting their shopping done.

Idaho isn’t as boring as many believe. If you go to the right spots, the state does seem like a gem. Adventures like this don’t happen often, and I’m thankful for mine. If you get the chance, explore the adventurous places of our bordering state.
