MAN CLIMBS BELL TOWER, POLICE RESPOND
Weber State University campus police spotted a male on the first level of the Stewart Bell Tower around 4 p.m. on Sunday. Campus police called the South Ogden Fire Department to assist the individual off the bell tower. He will be cited for trespassing.
WSU FACULTY MEMBER RECOGNIZED
The Utah Humanities Council has selected Tonia Wilson, WSU’s director of the Venture Course in the Humanities, to receive the 2013 Human Ties Award for Academic Partnership. Venture, a program at WSU, provides an opportunity for financially struggling adults to start college with yearlong interdisciplinary humanities course.
WSU ALUMNUS HONORED AS PARAMEDIC OF THE YEAR
The Utah Bureau of Emergency Medical Services recognized Zackery Hatch, alumnus and current WSU night paramedic course coordinator, as the 2010 Paramedic of the Year. Hatch was also honored as part of the team for Incident of the Year.
