Hailey Whetten | Weber State Track and Field

Whetten, a WSU senior, ran a 33:58.66 in the 10,000 meters — a personal record for Whetten and the fourth fastest time in Wildcat history.
Whetten, the defending 10,000-meter Big Sky champion, now holds the fastest time in the region and the tenth fastest time in Big Sky history.
Her time in the 10,000 meters places her at 13th in the western region, as well as 26th in the nation.
Whetten has been competing for the Wildcats since 2013 in cross country as well as indoor and outdoor track and field. She has consistently placed highly in the Big Sky Championships in all three sports.
In 2015, Whetten earned Big Sky Academic All-Conference honors in indoor and All-Conference honors by placing third at the 2015 outdoor Big Sky Championships in the 10,000 meters.
In addition to her 2016 outdoor 10,000 meters title, Whetten placed fourth in the Big Sky cross country championship. She also earned All-Conference honors in cross country in 2016.
