Morales recorded one tackle during the preseason, a solo tackle on New England Patriots running back Jonas Gray in the Panthers’ loss.

Having cleared waivers without being claimed by another NFL team, Morales is now a free agent.

In the Big Sky preseason coach’s poll, the Weber State women’s cross country team was picked to finish in second place, while the men’s team was picked to finish in third.

The women’s team has won the conference title in each of the last three seasons. This year will be the team’s first year since cross country star Amber Henry Schultz graduated, and they will also be losing the reigning Big Sky individual champion, Summer Harper, who has left to serve a mission for the LDS Church.

The men’s team was picked to finish third, behind Northern Arizona and Southern Utah.
