According to Consumer Reports, the liquids inside laundry pods contain chemicals that can burn the mouth, digestive system and stomach. In an effort to stem the spread of the challenge, both Facebook and YouTube's parent company Google removed Tide Pod Challenge videos from their platforms. After the initial backlash subsided, many people began making jokes about the challenge and some restaurants and bakeries made food that looked like Tide pods. (Kristoffer Tripplaar/Sipa USA/TNS)
