The Walker Political Leadership Institute wants community members to get involved with the Utah political system and will host free seminars for participants to learn how to make their voices heard. All sessions will be held at Weber State University’s Hurst Center for Lifelong Learning in the Dumke Legacy Hall, 7-9 p.m., with the first session being held on Dec. 10. The first session will be on the “Utah Political Process: Get Elected in Utah,” with former senator Robert F. Bennett as the guest speaker. For more information, email [email protected]

 

Weber State University will host, for the first time, the Faraday Lectures. In collaboration with the WSU Department of Chemistry, WSU President Charles Wight, chemistry professor Michelle Paustenbaugh and chemistry instructor Carol Campbell will conduct several scientific demonstrations aimed at inspiring curiosity in children of all ages.
