Body found on Mount Ogden identified as missing student

The remains of a body of a man found near the top of Mount Ogden late Monday night and recovered Tuesday morning has been identified as Juan Pablo Brant. Brant, who was a Weber State University student, was last seen on Jan. 4, but was reported missing on Jan. 14.

According to a press release put out by the Weber County Sheriff’s Office Friday, the Utah State Medical Examiner’s Office positively identified the remains as Brant, but no cause of death was released. Brant had a known love for hiking and the outdoors and would leave his area of residence for several days at a time.
