Weber State University’s student body president asked the Student Fee Recommendation Committee to give its blessing for WSU to charge students $5 in fall 2012 to help finance the expansion of the Swenson Gym.

The charge became necessary when a delay in construction made it impossible to finance the expansion with federal grant money that had already been set aside for the project, said Kyle Braithwaite, student body president.
