The Wildcats have landed in the fall 2025 sports season and this is how the teams are doing.
Men’s golf opened up the season at the Ram Masters invitational with a fourth-place finish, led by Mathew Wilson, who had a total score of 207, only three shots off first place. Wilson finished fourth overall himself in the entire invitational. Weber State shot an 854, just 14 strokes off the first-place winning team in California State University, Long Beach State.
The team then moved to the Falcon Invitational, where they took 10th place overall. Ty Anderson was the top performer, shooting 214, 2 under par, with Luke Smith at his heels with 216.
Weber State University’s women’s golf opened the season with a third-place finish in the Wolverine Invitational. The Wildcats were able to best the in-state rivals in Utah Valley University, Utah Tech University and Southern Utah University in the tournament. Cala Korman took the team’s reins and led the way with a fifth overall finish, shooting 211.
The Wildcats then moved on to the Utah Fall Intercollegiate Invitational, where they took first place. Weber won by 18 strokes over the nearest opponent in Utah Tech, who shot 609 as a team, while the Wildcats shot 591. Jade Gruher shot six birdies and had an overall score of 145.
Men’s tennis started up in Boise. Ken Dinh and Connor Kruger beat a duo from Montana 2–1 and made it to the quarterfinals, but were swept by a duo from Brigham Young University 3–0. Kruger and Dinh then traveled to the University of Tulsa for the ITA All-American Championship. They lost both games to the University of Alabama and the University of Arkansas.
Women’s Tennis took their talents to the Jon Messick Invitational. Jessica Hill and Maggie Song defeated their opponent from the Air Force Academy. In singles, the Wildcats had three victorious players in Maggie Song, Naomi Johnson and Alicia Celorio.
For Men’s Cross Country, they opened up with the Utah State Alumni Challenge. It wasn’t a challenge for the Wildcats, as they had five of the top six runners. Jake Peterson finished second overall with a time of 20:42.4 in the 7k race, set a new course record by eight seconds and was the top performer for the Wildcats. Owen Rogers and Peter Visser finished within 13 seconds behind Peterson to display Wildcat royalty on the podium. Jake Peterson was named Big Sky co-runner of the week for his performance.
Finally, women’s cross-country shone bright in the Utah State Alumni Classic, taking first overall and beating Utah State University and Idaho State University. Frances Hudson blossomed as the top finisher for Weber in the 5k with a time of 18:10.6 and took fourth overall. Audrey Camp Cazier was just five seconds behind Hudson, and then Lydia Felix was three seconds behind Camp Cazier. The Wildcats had six of the top 10 runners in the meet.
